Thesis COLLECTION
Agricultural space is vast and seemingly monotonous. It stretches on forever and feels immediately familiar, because it likely appears indistinguishable from the one before it. when viewed from an aerial perspective, however, it is one of the most common, yet under appreciated forms of land art that we completely overlook. Central pivot irrigation systems create perfectly geometric shapes in a landscape which does not desire or value order. The ever-present conflict between this land in its natural state, and the newly mechanized forms it is forced to take on become a canvas to the aerial viewer.
